Job summary

Bridges invites applications for a hands-on M&E site manager based in the South West Delivery Team, overseeing installation works across our water frameworks. The role is 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, with a company van provided.

You will lead on safety, quality and on-site governance, mentor Electricians and Apprentices, and promote Bridges’ values while delivering projects to programme.

Qualifications

• Experience managing M&E sites on civil/utilities projects.
• Gold Card CSCS and SMSTS certified.
• Relevant trade certificate/qualification.
• Strong client management and communication skills.
• Experience adhering to health, safety and quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Oversee M&E installations in line with Bridges safety rules and standards.
• Ensure health and safety legislation is followed on site.
• Ensure works meet project quality plans and inspection/test regimes.
• Promote STAR dynamic risk assessment.
• Coach Electricians, Improvers and Apprentices.
• Act as Bridges ambassador and uphold company values.
• Support and maintain professional reputation on-site.

Role Purpose

This role is based within our South West Delivery Team who cover our South West Water and Wessex Water frameworks,, Managing water industry construction and engineering projects - ensuring full CDM compliance across our sites.

The Role

Contracted to 40hrs per week Monday to Friday.
A company van will be provided.

• To be responsible for managing M&E installations in accordance with Bridges Health & Safety Rules and Essential Standards and industry regulations.
• Ensure that all Health and Safety legislation and regulations are adhered to by the site teams.
• Ensure that all items are installed to the highest standards, in compliance with the project’s quality plan and inspection and test plans.
• To follow and actively promote the STAR dynamic risk assessment.
• To coach and mentor Electricians, Electrical Improvers/Mates and Apprentices.
• Promote and demonstrate the Bridges’ values when dealing with peers, staff, customers, and clients.
• Promote positive health and wellbeing amongst peers.
• To act in a professional manner and be an ambassador for Bridges, supporting the business goals and maintaining the company’s positive reputation.

Essential:

• Experience in managing M&E sites.
• Experience in a civil / utilities environment.
• Gold Card CSCS
• SMSTS
• Appropriate trade certificate/qualification.
• Good client management and communication skills

Desirable:

• Black Card CSCS
• Water industry experience
• EUSR
• IPAF, PASMA, confined space
