Job summary

Bridges is currently seeking a Site Manager to lead M&E installations and site teams on South West Water and Wessex Water frameworks. The role is based in Taunton, England and involves supervising safety compliance and quality programs while liaising with clients and managing day-to-day field activities.

The successful candidate will mentor Electricians and Apprentices, promote company values, and drive professional standards on site.

Qualifications

• Experience in managing M&E sites in civil/utilities environments.
• Gold Card CSCS and SMSTS required.
• EUSR, IPAF, PASMA, and confined space training.
• Strong client management and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage M&E installations according to safety rules and standards.
• Ensure site teams comply with Health & Safety legislation.
• Maintain quality plans and inspection and test plans.

Job description

This role is based within our South West Delivery Team who cover our South West Water and Wessex Water frameworks,, Managing water industry construction and engineering projects - ensuring full CDM compliance across our sites.

The Role

Contracted to 40hrs per week Monday to Friday.
A company van will be provided.

• To be responsible for managing M&E installations in accordance with Bridges Health & Safety Rules and Essential Standards and industry regulations.
• Ensure that all Health and Safety legislation and regulations are adhered to by the site teams.
• Ensure that all items are installed to the highest standards, in compliance with the project's quality plan and inspection and test plans.
• To follow and actively promote the STAR dynamic risk assessment.
• To coach and mentor Electricians, Electrical Improvers/Mates and Apprentices.
• Promote and demonstrate the Bridges' values when dealing with peers, staff, customers, and clients.
• Promote positive health and wellbeing amongst peers.
• To act in a professional manner and be an ambassador for Bridges, supporting the business goals and maintaining the company's positive reputation.
