Job summary

Bridges is seeking an experienced site manager to lead M&E installations within our South West Delivery Team, covering South West Water and Wessex Water frameworks. You will ensure full CDM compliance across our sites and manage client relations on project delivery.

The role includes coaching electricians and apprentices, enforcing health and safety, and maintaining high quality standards per the project plan. A 40-hour week, with a company van provided, and a professional ambassador for Bridges.

Qualifications

• Experience in managing M&E sites.
• Experience in a civil/utilities environment.
• Gold Card CSCS.
• SMSTS.
• Appropriate trade certificate/qualification.
• Good client management and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage M&E installations in compliance with health and safety rules and standards.
• Ensure adherence to health and safety legislation by site teams.
• Ensure installations meet the project's quality plan and ITPs.
• Follow and promote STAR dynamic risk assessment.
• Coach and mentor Electricians, Improvers/Mates and Apprentices.
• Promote Bridges' values with peers, staff, customers and clients.
• Promote health and wellbeing among peers.
• Act professionally and represent Bridges positively.

Job description

This role is based within our South West Delivery Team who cover our South West Water and Wessex Water frameworks,, Managing water industry construction and engineering projects - ensuring full CDM compliance across our sites.

The Role

Contracted to 40hrs per week Monday to Friday.

A company van will be provided.

• To be responsible for managing M&E installations in accordance with Bridges Health & Safety Rules and Essential Standards and industry regulations.
• Ensure that all Health and Safety legislation and regulations are adhered to by the site teams.
• Ensure that all items are installed to the highest standards, in compliance with the project's quality plan and inspection and test plans.
• To follow and actively promote the STAR dynamic risk assessment.
• To coach and mentor Electricians, Electrical Improvers/Mates and Apprentices.
• Promote and demonstrate the Bridges' values when dealing with peers, staff, customers, and clients.
• Promote positive health and wellbeing amongst peers.
• To act in a professional manner and be an ambassador for Bridges, supporting the business goals and maintaining the company's positive reputation.

Requirements

Essential:

• Experience in managing M&E sites.
• Experience in a civil / utilities environment.
• Gold Card CSCS
• SMSTS
• Appropriate trade certificate/qualification.
• Good client management and communication skills

Desirable:

• Black Card CSCS
• Water industry experience
• EUSR
• IPAF, PASMA, confined space
