Job summary

Bridges is seeking a site manager to lead M&E installations across our South West water frameworks in Taunton. You will ensure compliance with CDM, health and safety rules, and quality plans, while mentoring Electricians and Apprentices on site.

The role demands strong client communication, governance of installation standards, and active promotion of Bridges' values and wellbeing on project teams.

Qualifications

• Experience in managing M&E sites.
• Experience in a civil/utilities environment.
• Gold Card CSCS and SMSTS qualifications.
• Trade certificate or equivalent qualification.
• Strong client management and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage M&E installations in line with Bridges Health & Safety Rules and standards.
• Ensure site teams comply with health and safety legislation.
• Ensure installations meet quality plans and ITPs.
• Follow and promote the STAR dynamic risk assessment.
• Coach and mentor Electricians, Electrical Improvers/Mates and Apprentices.
• Promote Bridges' values with peers, staff, customers and clients.
• Promote health and wellbeing among peers.
• Represent Bridges professionally as an ambassador.

Job description

Role Purpose

This role is based within our South West Delivery Team who cover our South West Water and Wessex Water frameworks,, Managing water industry construction and engineering projects - ensuring full CDM compliance across our sites.

The Role

Contracted to 40hrs per week Monday to Friday.

A company van will be provided.

• To be responsible for managing M&E installations in accordance with Bridges Health & Safety Rules and Essential Standards and industry regulations
• Ensure that all Health and Safety legislation and regulations are adhered to by the site teams
• Ensure that all items are installed to the highest standards, in compliance with the project's quality plan and inspection and test plans
• To follow and actively promote the STAR dynamic risk assessment
• To coach and mentor Electricians, Electrical Improvers/Mates and Apprentices
• Promote and demonstrate the Bridges' values when dealing with peers, staff, customers, and clients
• Promote positive health and wellbeing amongst peers
• To act in a professional manner and be an ambassador for Bridges, supporting the business goals and maintaining the company's positive reputation

Requirements

Essential:

• Experience in managing M&E sites.

• Gold Card CSCS
• SMSTS
• Appropriate trade certificate/qualification

• Black Card CSCS
• Water industry experience
• EUSR
• IPAF, PASMA, confined space
