Job summary

Clearfield Recruitment Limited seeks an experienced Site Manager to oversee construction projects across Norfolk and Suffolk, including MOD bases and residential developments.

You will manage projects from inception to completion, ensuring safety, on-time delivery, budget control and adherence to quality standards while coordinating subcontractors.

Essential: proven site management, SMSTS, First Aid at Work, CSCS, full UK driving licence, and strong leadership with excellent communication.

Qualifications

• Proven site management experience in construction.
• Experience on MOD bases, residential voids or new build developments preferred.
• SMSTS, First Aid at Work and CSCS are required.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day site operations across multiple projects.
• Ensure health, safety, quality and environmental standards are maintained.

• Monitor project programmes and ensure deadlines are met.

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and proactive Site Manager to oversee a variety of construction projects across Norfolk and Suffolk. This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing and reputable contractor delivering works across MOD bases, residential developments, and regeneration projects.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing projects from inception through to completion, ensuring works are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day site operations across multiple projects.


• Ensure health, safety, quality, and environmental standards are maintained at all times.


• Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, and direct labour on site.


• Monitor project programmes and ensure deadlines are achieved.


• Liaise with clients, stakeholders, and senior management.


• Conduct site inspections, toolbox talks, and health & safety briefings.


• Maintain accurate site records, reports, and documentation.


• Ensure projects are delivered in line with contractual requirements and company standards.

Essential Requirements

• Proven experience as a Site Manager within the construction industry.


• Previous experience managing projects on:


• MOD (Ministry of Defence) Bases


• Residential Voids


• New Build Residential Developments


• Valid SMSTS qualification.


• Valid First Aid at Work certificate.


• Valid CSCS Card.


• Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills.


• Full UK Driving Licence.
