Job summary

Caval is seeking an experienced Site Manager for an extension and build project in Stockport. The role focuses on on-site leadership, coordinating subcontractors, and maintaining rigorous health and safety standards from project setup to completion.

The successful candidate will have extensive site management experience, a strong track record on similar school projects, and excellent references from Caval placements. Weekend work and hands-on site operations are expected.

Qualifications

• Experience in extensive new build/out-of-the-ground builds.
• Proven track record as a Site Manager on similar schemes.
• Must have been previously placed by Caval with excellent references.

Responsibilities

• Manage subcontractors day-to-day.
• Undertake daily and weekly site inspections.
• Manage H&S from set-up through to completion.
• Liaise with the client as required.
• Produce weekly progress reports.
• Track, monitor and manage site works throughout the scheme.
• Maintain a clean and tidy site at all times.
• Manage and direct site labour.

Experience

• Extensive new build / out-of-the-ground experience
• Previous experience working on school projects
• Proven track record as a Site Manager
• Must have been previously placed by Caval with excellent references
• Willing to work weekends
• Strong subcontractor management experience
• Good health and safety knowledge
• Confident managing site labour and day-to-day site operations
