Job summary

MMP Consultancy is seeking an experienced Site Manager to oversee construction and refurbishment projects. You will manage day-to-day site operations, lead teams, and ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, and within budget.

Responsibilities include developing programmes, coordinating resources, inspecting work, and maintaining records. Strong leadership, communication, and IT skills are essential, along with SMSTS, CSCS, First Aid, and a full UK driving license.

Qualifications

• Proven experience leading site teams and managing subcontractors.
• Strong organisational and communication abilities in multi-trade environments.
• Knowledge of Health & Safety regulations and best practices.
• Experience using project programmes and PM software.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and site reporting tools.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing site operations, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage all on-site activities from project inception through to completion.
• Lead and supervise site teams, subcontractors, and suppliers.
• Develop, monitor, and update project programmes to ensure works are completed within agreed timescales.
• Ensure compliance with all Health & Safety legislation and company procedures.
• Carry out site inspections, audits, and toolbox talks.
• Coordinate materials, labour, plant, and subcontractor resources.
• Monitor quality standards and ensure works are completed to specification.
• Liaise with clients, consultants, residents, and stakeholders as required.
• Identify and resolve site issues to minimise delays and maintain project progress.
• Produce and maintain accurate site records, reports, and documentation.
• Ensure projects are delivered within budget and in line with contractual requirements.

Essential Requirements

• Proven experience in a Site Manager role within construction, refurbishment, planned maintenance, or social housing.
• Strong leadership and people management skills.
• Excellent organisational and communication abilities.
• Experience managing multiple trades and subcontractors.
• Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office and project management software.
• Sound knowledge of Health & Safety regulations and construction best practices.
• Valid SMSTS qualification.
• CSCS Card.
• First Aid at Work certificate.
• Full UK Driving Licence
