Job summary

Caval is seeking a Site Manager for a 3 Storey Classroom Extension in Sheffield. You will take overall site control, coordinating subcontractors and maintaining safety and quality on a live education project.

Applicants should have SMSTS, CSCS Black/White Card, enhanced DBS and First Aid, with proven experience managing large-scale construction works and delivering education extensions on site.

Qualifications

  • DBS, SMSTS and CSCS cards required.
  • Experience delivering education or school extension projects.
  • Strong health and safety knowledge and RAMS required.
  • Proven ability to lead site teams and coordinate subcontractors.

Responsibilities

  • Take full responsibility for site management and daily operations.
  • Coordinate subcontractors and monitor site progress.
  • Manage health & safety, RAMS, inductions and toolbox talks.
  • Ensure programme milestones are achieved.
  • Maintain site diaries, reports and progress updates.
  • Monitor workmanship and quality standards.
  • Liaise with the client, consultants and school representatives.
  • Manage site logistics and sequencing of works.
  • Identify and resolve issues to keep the project moving.
  • Support successful delivery from start to completion.

Location: Sheffield

Start: Mid August - 40

Pay: £300 per day

Essential Requirements:

  • Enhanced DBS (Essential)
  • SMSTS
  • CSCS Black/White Card

Experience Required:

  • Strong experience delivering education and extension projects
  • Previous experience working in live school environments
  • Proven ability managing large-scale construction works
  • Strong subcontractor coordination skills
  • Excellent understanding of health & safety requirements
  • Experience managing programmes, quality and site documentation
  • Ability to lead site teams and drive progress
  • Strong communication skills with project teams and clients
