Job summary

Caval is seeking an experienced Site Manager for a £2m transport hub and active travel project in Seaham. You will lead site operations, coordinate subcontractors, and ensure health and safety, quality and programme objectives are achieved through to completion.

The role requires proven delivery of highways or civil engineering schemes, strong leadership, and excellent communication with stakeholders. Freelance/Contract, Seaham site.

Experience:

• Proven track record delivering highways, infrastructure, public realm or transport improvement projects valued between £2m-£5m
• Strong understanding of highways specifications, health & safety requirements and quality control procedures within civil engineering projects

The Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Site Manager to lead the delivery of a £2m transport hub and active travel infrastructure project. You will oversee site operations, coordinate subcontractors, manage programme delivery, and ensure health and safety, quality and project objectives are achieved through to successful completion. Previous experience delivering highways, infrastructure, public realm or civil engineering projects within live public environments is highly desirable.

• Reporting regularly and consistently to the Director
• Address any problems or disputes that arise throughout
• Oversee package expenses, maintaining alignment with the budget
• Comply with health and safety regulations throughout all work operations
• Recognise possible threats to the works, implementing strategies to address them
• Coordinate an
