Job summary

Construction is seeking experienced Site Managers to oversee the safe and successful delivery of environmental and civil engineering projects, including habitat creation and restoration, on a major regional infrastructure scheme.

The initial 16-month programme offers continuity and long-term prospects for career development. Applicants should hold a CSCS Black Card (NVQ Level 6), SMSTS, First Aid at Work and a UK driving licence, with proven leadership in civil or environmental construction.

Qualifications

• Proven leadership ability in civil/environmental construction projects.
• Strong organisational and communication skills are essential.
• Full UK driving licence is required.

Responsibilities

• Lead safe delivery of environmental and civil engineering projects in line with CDM 2015.
• Manage site mobilisation, inductions, day-to-day operations and demobilisation.
• Ensure RAMS, Construction Phase Plans, ITPs and quality standards are met.

Job description

Our client is a leading environmental consultancy and contractor delivering major infrastructure and environmental projects. Due to the award of a significant package of work on a major regional infrastructure scheme, they are seeking experienced Site Managers to oversee the safe and successful delivery of environmental and civil engineering projects.

Projects include habitat creation and restoration, habitat translocation, ecological mitigation and associated civil engineering works. The initial programme is expected to run for 16 months, with further secured work in the region offering excellent continuity.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the safe delivery of environmental and civil engineering projects in accordance with CDM 2015.
• Manage site mobilisation, inductions, day-to-day operations and demobilisation.
• Ensure compliance with RAMS, Construction Phase Plans, ITPs and quality standards.
• Coordinate labour, plant, materials and subcontractors to achieve programme and budget targets.
• Complete daily and weekly site records, reports and resource planning.
• Manage site changes, identifying impacts on safety, quality, programme and cost.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, stakeholders and project teams.

Requirements
