Job summary

OUTSOURCE CONSTRUCTION LTD in Bedfordshire is seeking an experienced Site Manager to join our Main Contractor team delivering projects across Luton and surrounding areas. You will lead site operations and drive safety, quality, and on-time delivery.

You will coordinate subcontractors, manage programmes, and maintain client relationships to ensure projects meet budget and quality targets while upholding high standards of workmanship.

Qualifications

• SMSTS qualification is required.
• First Aid at Work certification required.
• Full UK Driving Licence essential.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day site operations from start to finish.
• Ensure works are safe and comply with Health & Safety procedures.
• Coordinate and supervise subcontractors, direct labour, and suppliers.
• Monitor progress against programmes and milestones.
• Maintain workmanship quality and QC.
• Liaise with clients, consultants and project team.
• Conduct site meetings and progress reporting.
• Manage site documentation, inspections and compliance.
• Identify and resolve issues to minimise delays and costs.

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Site Manager to join a well-established Main Contractor delivering high-quality construction projects across Luton and the surrounding areas. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual with a proven track record of managing projects safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Working across a range of new build and refurbishment projects in sectors such as commercial, education, healthcare, residential, and industrial, you will play a key role in ensuring successful project delivery while maintaining excellent relationships with clients, subcontractors, and the wider project team.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the day-to-day operations on site from commencement through to completion.
• Ensure all works are carried out safely and in accordance with company Health & Safety procedures.
• Coordinate and supervise subcontractors, direct labour, and suppliers.
• Monitor project programmes and ensure milestones are achieved.
• Maintain high standards of workmanship and quality control.
• Liaise with clients, consultants, and the project management team.
• Conduct site meetings, toolbox talks, and regular progress reporting.
• Manage site documentation, inspections, and compliance requirements.
• Identify and resolve site issues proactively to minimise delays and costs.

About You

The successful candidate will have:

• Previous experience as a Site Manager working for a Main Contractor.
• Experience delivering construction projects from start to finish.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Excellent organisational and problem-solving abilities.
• A thorough understanding of Health & Safety legislation and site compliance.
• The ability to build positive working relationships with clients and subcontractors.
