Job summary

A.D.S Construction Personnel Ltd is seeking a Site Manager to oversee construction sites across the Home Counties and surrounding regions. You will manage daily activities, ensure safety standards, and deliver projects on time and to specification, with a 37.5 hour week and early start.

The role offers £48,000-£50,000 plus a car allowance or van, on-site parking, PPE and uniform provided, 33 days holiday, pension, life cover, and structured training through the company's development programmes.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of health and safety protocols and site safety requirements.
• Familiarity with industry ISO standards and site quality systems.
• Confident communicator with clients and stakeholders at all levels.
• Demonstrated leadership capability to lead site teams and subcontractors.
• Excellent organisational, prioritisation and communication skills in a live site environment.

Responsibilities

• Maintain safe systems of work and ensure operatives follow required standards.
• Coordinate site productivity and sequencing to achieve programme milestones.
• Oversee site activity in line with contract, cost and compliance requirements.
• Minimise environmental and community impact on site operations.
• Coordinate interfaces between stakeholders, subcontractors and internal teams.
• Ensure projects are delivered to the required specification and quality.

Full Time | Site Based | 37.5 hours per week within a 7.30am - 5.30pm working window (Most office‑based staff work 8.30am - 5.00pm, with site teams starting and finishing earlier)

About the Client

Our client is a long‑established, family‑owned construction business with over 150 years of history, delivering high‑quality projects across commercial, education, industrial, heritage, blue light and leisure sectors. They operate across the Home Counties, Northamptonshire, Cambridgeshire, Oxfordshire and North London, delivering projects through two divisions: Small Works & Frameworks (up to £1m) and Main Contracts (up to £15m).

This role sits within their Small Works & Frameworks division, delivering projects up to £1m across Cambridgeshire, Northamptonshire, Bedfordshire, Hertfordshire, Buckinghamshire and Oxfordshire.

The Site Manager supervises construction sites, manages daily activity and ensures projects are completed on time, within budget and to the required specification.

Qualifications & Requirements

• In‑date CSCS card supported by a recognised qualification (NVQ, HNC/HND, degree or equivalent)
• SMSTS
• First Aid at Work
• HNC in Construction Management (or equivalent), or qualified by experience
• Full UK driving licence
• Required to wear company‑issued uniform and PPE on site

Security, Vetting & Right to Work

• Must have full right to work in the UK
• Must have been continuously resident in the UK for the past 5 years to meet client vetting requirements
• Must be willing to undertake DBS, BPSS or client‑led security checks where required
• Must be willing to discuss any matters relevant to vetting as part of the process
• Must be able to maintain the vetting standards required for regulated sites

Salary & Package
