Job summary

Mitie Group plc. is seeking a Site Manager for Lawnswood High School, Headingley, Leeds. The role involves maintaining the school premises, coordinating cleaning, security, and safety operations, and responding to helpdesk requests.

The candidate should be reliable, able to work independently or in a team, and prepared to undergo an enhanced DBS check. The position is permanent, full-time (40 hours per week) with a pay rate of £15.50 per hour.

Qualifications

• Must be able to pass enhanced DBS check.
• Caretaking or facilities maintenance experience preferred.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Commitment to safeguarding and confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Undertake all required training and follow Mitie’s policies.
• Maintain equipment in clean, safe working order and understand all cleaning materials.
• Ensure proper maintenance, cleaning, security and safety of school premises and grounds.
• Respond to helpdesk jobs, unlock/lock buildings, and carry out porterage and room setups.
• Perform PPM tasks including fire alarm tests and emergency light checks.
• Support out-of-hours building use as needed.

Role Responsibilities:

• Undertake all required training and follow Mitie's Quality, Safety, Health and Environmental policies.
• Maintain equipment in clean, safe working order and understand all cleaning materials and chemicals used.
• Ensure proper maintenance, cleaning, security, and safety of school premises and grounds.
• Respond to helpdesk jobs, unlock/lock buildings, and carry out porterage and room setups.
• Perform PPM tasks including fire alarm tests, emergency light checks, and support out-of-hours building use.
• Previous caretaking experience (preferred but not essential).
• Reliable, hardworking, and professional attitude.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Open, honest, self-driven, and determined.
• Commitment to safeguarding and confidentiality, with willingness to undergo an enhanced DBS check.
