Job summary

Mitie is seeking a School Caretaker to deliver high service standards at Springwell Community College, Middlecroft Road, Chesterfield. The role is permanent, full-time 25 hours per week, with an hourly rate of £13.31.

You will follow Mitie's Quality, Safety, Health and Environmental policies, maintain equipment, manage building security and porterage, and support out-of-hours usage. DBS check required; previous caretaking experience preferred but not essential.

Qualifications

• Caretaking or facilities experience preferred.
• Willingness to undergo enhanced DBS check.
• Ability to follow policies and safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Undertake all required training and follow Mitie's Quality, Safety, Health and Environmental policies.
• Maintain equipment in clean, safe working order and understand all cleaning materials and chemicals used.
• Ensure proper maintenance, cleaning, security, and safety of school premises and grounds.
• Respond to helpdesk jobs, unlock/lock buildings, and carry out porterage and room setups.
• Perform PPM tasks including fire alarm tests, emergency light checks, and support out-of-hours building use.

Role Responsibilities
