Job summary

White Recruitment is urgently seeking a Site Manager in Kidderminster to oversee Hazardous Waste Transfer Station and depot operations. The role is full-time with attractive benefits and a clear path for development within the company.

Qualifications

• Strong leadership experience.
• H&S and compliance knowledge desirable (IOSH/NEBOSH).
• Experience managing transfer stations or depots.

Responsibilities

• Ensure full compliance with environmental permits, health & safety regulations, and authority standards, including oversight of H&S and emergency response.
• Lead and manage all site operations, including treatment plant, transfer station, vehicle fleet, staffing, and contractor control.
• Drive operational efficiency and cost reduction through process improvements with KPIs and P&L accountability.
• Oversee recruitment, shift planning, training, development and performance management to foster a positive team culture.
• Identify opportunities to grow the business and ensure accurate invoicing and reporting.

Are you a Waste Management Industry expert? Are you looking for an exciting new career for an established and growing Waste Management company based in Kidderminster? This role could be excellent for you!

My client is looking for an experienced Site Manager to join their team based in Kidderminster, to oversee and manage onsite operations for the Hazardous Waste Transfer Station and Depot.

Working Hours:

Full Time: Monday – Friday (8:30am – 5:00pm) – 40hours

Key Responsibilities:

• Ensure full compliance with environmental permits, health and safety regulations, and all relevant authority standards, including oversight of H&S, facility management, and emergency response.
• Lead and manage all aspects of site operations, including treatment plant, transfer station, vehicle fleet, staffing, plant maintenance, and contractor control.
• Drive operational efficiency and cost reduction through process improvements, full P&L accountability, and implementation of KPIs across all site functions.
• Oversee staff recruitment, shift planning, training, development, and performance management to align with business needs and promote a positive team culture.
• Develop and grow the business by identifying new opportunities, improving communication across sites, and ensuring accurate and efficient systems for invoicing and reporting

Requirements:

• Previous experience working for a Waste Management Company (Total Waste Management, or Specialist Hazardous/Radioactive)
• Degree in Chemistry or Equivalent
• Previous experience in Transfer Station and/or Depot Management
• Strong demonstratable leadership experience
• Previous experience with H&S and Compliance – IOSH/NEBOSH Desirable
