Job summary

WR Logistics in Stoke-on-Trent, UK is seeking a Site Chemist to join our team. You will oversee the safe operation of the site, manage waste handling, and ensure compliance with permits and regulatory requirements.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Chemistry or a related field and previous experience in the Waste Management industry. IOSH knowledge is desirable; an FLT licence is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemistry or related field.
• Previous Site Chemist experience desirable.
• IOSH knowledge desirable.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with site permits and waste acceptance regulations.
• Oversee safe operation of the site and waste handling.
• Monitor quality and compliance, and submit non-conformance reports and invoices on time.
• Preparing and prioritising hazardous waste materials.
• Ensure all waste that are processed/repacked have an associated paperwork trail from cradle to grave.

Education

Bachelor's degree in Chemistry or related field

Job description

Location: Stoke-on-Trent, UK

Salary: up to £32,000 (DOE)

Working Hours: Monday to Friday - 9am - 6pm

My client is looking for a Site Chemist to join their team based in Stoke-on-Trent. The ideal candidate will have a degree in Chemistry, Environmental Science or Similar, and have previous experience in the Waste Management Industry.
