Job summary

A Allscreens Nationwide Ltd in Huddersfield is seeking an experienced Site Manager to cover a holiday for one day on 10/08. You will lead the on-site team at a residential housing project, coordinating trades and ensuring smooth progress against the programme.

While a background in New Build Housing is helpful, it is not essential. You will enforce health and safety protocols, manage site welfare facilities, and communicate with clients and consultants to resolve issues quickly.

Responsibilities

• Report to the Project/Contracts Manager on progress against the programme.
• Maintain health and safety procedures incl PPE, inductions, risk assessments.
• Ensure quality standards and manage defects and materials.
• Coordinate site team and subcontractors.
• Prepare site progress reports and issue documentation.
• Open/close site facilities and manage welfare and offices.
• Liaise with client, consultants and head office.
• Address resident/public complaints efficiently.

Job description

Our client is a House building contractor, who work in the residential sector building 2 - 4 bed homes. Our Client Build New Build Homes and were looking for someone to cover holiday for just one day work on the 10/08

As a Site Manager, you will need to be established and confident in running a Site and Managing Trades. Having New build Housing Background is not essential but would help towards your application

• Reporting to the Project / Contracts Manager on the progress against the programme
• Maintenance of company required Health & Safety procedures / initiatives including PPE, Site Inductions, Management of Method Statements/Risk Assessments, Work Permits, Scaffold/Lifting equipment inspections
• Adherence to the Company quality standards including Management of defects, compliance with specification, compliance with materials / workmanship schedules, subcontractor code of conduct, considerate Constructors Scheme
• Helping to lead and coordinate the site team
• Assisting with the preparation of the Health and Safety file
• Maintaining and update Construction Phase Health & Safety plan as works proceed
• Liaising with the client, consultants, contract administrator, head office etc.
• To be responsible for the opening and closing of the site facilities
• Management of site facilities; welfare, toilets, offices, compound area etc.
• To assist in the management of project specific preliminaries
• Co-ordinating the Sub-Contractors as appropriate
• Preparation / assistance with the site progress reports
• Safe storage and co-ordination of materials
• To be responsible for the accurate / timely completion of site based documentation
• Attendance at project and company related meetings
• To ensure all relevant resident and public complaints are resolved efficiently
