Job summary

Fawkes & Reece London is recruiting an experienced Assistant Site Manager for temporary holiday cover in Doncaster (DN33). The role involves running the site, coordinating trades and maintaining strict health & safety standards on a traditional build project.

The candidate will report to the Project/Contracts Manager, manage site facilities, liaise with clients and subcontractors, and help prepare the Health & Safety file and progress reports.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Site Manager or Assistant Site Manager on traditional build projects.
• Ability to coordinate site trades and manage health & safety procedures.
• Experience with subcontractors and site administration.

Responsibilities

• Report to Project/Contracts Manager on progress against the programme.
• Maintain health & safety procedures including PPE, inductions, permits, inspections.
• Ensure quality standards and manage defects and materials.
• Lead and coordinate the site team.
• Prepare Health and Safety file and update site safety plan.
• Liaise with client, consultants, head office.
• Open/close site facilities and manage welfare.
• Coordinate subcontractors and assist with preliminaries.
• Prepare site progress reports and ensure timely documentation.
• Handle resident/public complaints.

My client is a National 5* House building contractor, who work in the residential sector building 2 - 4 bed homes. Our Client Builds a top spec Traditional Build Homes. As a result of expansion and new developments, they are currently looking to recruit an experienced House building Assistant Site Manager to work with them on a Temp basis.

As an Assistant Site Manager, you will need to be established and confident in running a Site and Managing Trades. Having Timber Frame House Building Background is not essential but would help.

• Reporting to the Project / Contracts Manager on the progress against the programme
• Maintenance of company required Health & Safety procedures / initiatives including PPE, Site Inductions, Management of Method Statements/Risk Assessments, Work Permits, Scaffold/Lifting equipment inspections
• Adherence to the Company quality standards including Management of defects, compliance with specification, compliance with materials / workmanship schedules, subcontractor code of conduct, considerate Constructors Scheme
• Helping to lead and coordinate the site team
• Assisting with the preparation of the Health and Safety file
• Maintaining and update Construction Phase Health & Safety plan as works proceed
• Liaising with the client, consultants, contract administrator, head office etc.
• To be responsible for the opening and closing of the site facilities
• Management of site facilities; welfare, toilets, offices, compound area etc.
• To assist in the management of project specific preliminaries
• Co-ordinating the Sub-Contractors as appropriate
• Preparation / assistance with the site progress reports
• Safe storage and co-ordination of materials
• To be responsible for the accurate / timely completion of site based documentation
• Attendance at project and company related meetings
• To ensure all relevant resident and public complaints are resolved efficiently
