Job summary

Thomas Gray Ltd is seeking an experienced Site Manager to join its growing SME Main Contractor, specialising in cladding remediation and external façade refurbishment. You will lead on-site operations, coordinating subcontractors and ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time and to exacting quality standards across occupied residential developments.

The role emphasises communication with residents, adherence to Building Regulations and fire safety, and hands-on supervision of cladding

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Site Manager on cladding remediation or façade projects.
• Strong leadership and organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple trades.
• Excellent communication with clients, residents and project stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Monitor programme and report progress to the Project Manager.
• Maintain health & safety, quality and environmental standards; carry out toolbox talks.
• Liaise with clients, consultants, residents and other stakeholders.
• Manage site documentation, permits, inspections and handover processes.

We have an excellent opportunity for an experienced Site Manager to join a growing SME Main Contractor specialising in cladding remediation and external fa ade refurbishment.

This is an opportunity to work on projects that make a genuine difference, delivering vital building safety improvements across occupied residential developments. You will take responsibility for managing the removal of existing cladding systems and overseeing the installation of compliant, fire-safe replacement fa ade systems, ensuring projects are delivered safely, to programme and to the highest quality standards.

The Role

As Site Manager, you will take full responsibility for the day-to-day management of site operations, coordinating subcontractors, maintaining programme, and ensuring all works are completed safely and in line with current building regulations and fire safety requirements.

Many projects will be carried out within occupied residential buildings, making communication, planning and resident consideration key aspects of the role.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage all site activities from mobilisation through to completion.

• Carry out regular site inspections, toolbox talks and safety briefings.
• Liaise with clients, consultants, Resident Liaison Officers and other project stakeholders.

About You

You will have previous experience managing cladding remediation, fa ade refurbishment or external envelope projects and possess strong leadership and organisational skills.

You should be confident managing multiple trades, maintaining excellent health & safety standards and delivering projects within programme and budget.

Essential Requirements

• Proven experience as a Site Manager on cladding remediation or fa ade projects.
• Good understanding of modern cladding systems and fa ade construction.
• Experience working on occupied residential buildings.
• Strong knowledge of current health & safety legislation.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.
