We are looking for a Site Manager for a short-term freelance role in Bridlington, YO16.

Start Date: 06/05/25 - 09/05/25

My client is a medium-sized house building contractor working in the residential sector, constructing 2-3 bedroom homes. The company specializes in traditional build homes. We are currently seeking a Site Manager to cover holiday leave for one week in May.

As a Site Manager, you should be experienced and confident in managing a site and overseeing trades. A background in traditional house building is not essential but would be advantageous.

Your CV must be fully up to date to be considered, as it will be forwarded to the client to select the most suitable candidate.

Main Duties:

1. Reporting to the Project/Contracts Manager on project progress.
2. Maintaining health and safety procedures, including PPE, site inductions, method statements, risk assessments, work permits, and equipment inspections.
3. Ensuring compliance with quality standards, managing defects, and adhering to specifications, materials, workmanship schedules, subcontractor conduct, and considerate constructors schemes.
4. Keeping the site clean and tidy.
5. Leading and coordinating the site team.
6. Assisting with the preparation of the health and safety file.
7. Updating the Construction Phase Health & Safety plan as work progresses.
8. Liaising with clients, consultants, contract administrators, and head office.
9. Managing site facilities, including welfare, toilets, offices, and the compound.
10. Assisting in managing project-specific preliminaries.
11. Coordinating subcontractors as appropriate.
12. Preparing and assisting with site progress reports.
13. Ensuring safe storage and proper coordination of materials.
14. Completing site documentation accurately and on time.
15. Attending project and company meetings.
16. Resolving resident and public complaints efficiently.
