Job summary

Build Recruitment Limited is seeking an experienced Site Manager for a major social housing refurbishment programme in Birmingham.

You will oversee day-to-day delivery, manage site teams and subcontractors, ensure safety and quality, and keep stakeholders informed with regular programme and delivery updates.

The role requires strong housing refurbishment background and the ability to coordinate works across occupied properties.

Qualifications

• Experience as Site Manager/Senior Site Manager/Site Supervisor in social housing refurbishment.
• Background in planned works or property maintenance.
• Experience with kitchens & bathrooms, windows and doors, internal or external refurbishment.
• Ability to manage multiple workstreams and subcontractors.
• Comfortable communicating with residents and client representatives.

Responsibilities

• Take responsibility for the day-to-day coordination and delivery of refurbishment works.
• Oversee site teams and subcontractors, ensuring works are completed safely, efficiently and to programme.
• Monitor progress, productivity and quality against KPIs and programme targets.
• Carry out regular site inspections to ensure works meet specifications and regulations.
• Coordinate materials, labour and subcontractors to maintain progress.
• Identify and resolve site issues quickly, escalating complex matters when required.
• Ensure all works are delivered in line with health & safety, quality and customer requirements.
• Maintain accurate records and support the wider team with programme data.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Site Manager to join a major social housing refurbishment programme in Birmingham.

This is a hands-on role responsible for overseeing the day-to-day delivery of refurbishment works across occupied social housing properties.

The Role

• Take responsibility for the day-to-day coordination and successful delivery of refurbishment works.
• Oversee site teams and subcontractors, ensuring works are completed safely, efficiently and to programme.
• Monitor progress, productivity and quality, ensuring agreed KPIs and programme targets are achieved.
• Carry out regular site inspections to ensure works meet project specifications, quality standards and relevant regulations.
• Coordinate materials, labour and subcontractors to ensure works progress without unnecessary delays.
• Identify and resolve site issues quickly, escalating more complex matters where required.
• Ensure all works are delivered in line with health & safety, quality and customer requirements.
• Ensure accurate records are maintained and support the wider team with programme and delivery information.

About You

• We’re looking for an experienced Site Manager / Senior Site Manager / Site Supervisor with a strong background in social housing refurbishment, planned works or property maintenance.
• You’ll ideally have experience working on kitchens & bathrooms, windows and doors, internal refurbishment, external works or wider planned investment programmes, particularly within occupied properties.
• You’ll be technically capable and confident managing multiple workstreams and subcontractors.
• You’ll also be comfortable dealing directly with residents and client representatives, with a strong focus on delivering a quality service from start to finish.
