Job summary

Howells Recruitment is recruiting a Project Manager for social housing planned works in Birmingham. You will manage capital improvement programmes, coordinate on-site teams, survey properties with stakeholders, and drive delivery to time and quality.

Essential is proven PM/Senior Site Manager experience in social housing, excellent stakeholder communication, a full UK driving licence, and knowledge of building safety and post-Gateway requirements.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Project Manager / Senior Site Manager on social housing planned works.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Knowledge of building safety, fire compliance, and relevant post-Gateway requirements.
• Relevant construction or project management qualification (e.g. HNC/HND, degree, or equivalent experience).

Responsibilities

• Manage all day to day operations of the capital improvement programmes.
• Identifying discrepancies and risks and taking appropriate actions, reporting back to relevant stakeholders when this occurs
• Work closely and meet with client and stakeholders on site to survey and complete property condition reports.
• Developing policies & procedures to support the achievement of new projects
• Site visits to undertake inspections of works and/or liaise with trade operatives, tenants, contractors or statutory bodies to resolve any issues and ensure high satisfaction is achieved
• Maintain Health and Safety and environmental management.
• Drawing up construction phase safety plans and ensuring the safe delivery set out within each plan.
• Understand and manage all client expectations maintaining good working relations.
• Complete project handover and ensure everything is defect/snag free

We are working with a leading Social Housing contractor to recruit an experienced Project Manager to deliver Social Housing refurbishment schemes in Birmingham.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a proven Project Manager with a determined and motivated attitude, or an experienced Senior Site Manager who is looking to progress with a market leader. Works include internal and external upgrades to tenanted properties, including new kitchens, bathrooms, windows, doors, roofing, and some decarbonisation projects.

Daily Responsibilities:
