Job summary

The Swindon Academy is seeking a practical Premises Operative to join the Site Team. You will help maintain a safe, secure, and welcoming environment for students, staff and visitors, and support site logistics, deliveries and events.

The role requires hands-on maintenance skills, a full driving licence with category B1 entitlement, and competence with MS Outlook, Word and Excel. This is a full-time position offering 37.5 hours per week and a competitive salary with shift allowance.

Qualifications

• Practical maintenance or facilities experience.
• Ability to carry out minor plumbing, electrical, decorating, and repair tasks.
• Commitment to health, safety, and security standards.
• Proficient with Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Support day-to-day operation, safety and security of the Academy site.
• Carry out general maintenance and handyman tasks.
• Assist with grounds maintenance, gardening and litter management.
• Monitor heating, cooling and building management systems.
