Job summary

Merryfields School, a special school within Manor Hall Trust, is seeking a Site Supervisor to oversee caretaking, repairs, waste management, health and safety checks, and opening/closing the premises. The role requires a clean full driving licence, physical fitness, and the ability to respond to emergencies as a nominated key holder.

Qualifications

• Experience in skilled trades such as joinery, plumbing, grounds maintenance or decorating.
• Willingness to work flexibly, including some weekends.
• DBS check and Safer recruitment checks required.

Responsibilities

• Carry out general caretaking, including maintenance and repairs (joinery, plumbing, decorating).
• Manage waste across the school site.
• Complete statutory and compliance activities.
• Carry out health and safety checks.
• Open and close the school premises as a nominated key holder.
• Attend emergency call-outs as needed.
• Maintain the school minibus.
