Job summary

Merryfields School is seeking a Site Supervisor to oversee caretaking duties, maintenance and repairs, and health and safety checks. A valid driving licence is required to assist with school transport and site tasks.

The role involves opening/closing duties as a Key Holder, potential weekend work, and requires flexibility in a busy school environment. DBS checks are part of safeguarding requirements.

Qualifications

• Experience in relevant skilled trades (joinery, plumbing, grounds maintenance, decorating).
• Full and clean driving licence to assist with the school mini bus.
• Ability to cope with physically challenging duties in a school environment.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to plan/prioritise work.

Responsibilities

• General caretaking duties including maintenance and repairs.
• Waste management and health and safety checks.
• Act as nominated Key Holder with opening/closing duties and occasional weekend work.
• Assist with emergency call outs as required.
• Staff may visit for informal discussion; applications via email.
