Job summary

Merryfields School in Newcastle-under-Lyme is seeking a proactive Site Supervisor to join the small Site Team. The role covers general caretaking, maintenance and repairs, waste management and health and safety checks, with responsibility as a Key Holder for opening/closing the premises.

You should have trades experience (joinery, plumbing, decorating), a full UK driving licence for maintenance duties, and flexibility to work split shifts, with occasional weekend work.

Qualifications

• Experience in relevant skilled trades (joinery, plumbing, decorating).
• Capable of carrying out maintenance and repairs and health & safety checks.
• Good communication, initiative, and ability to plan/work flexibly.

Responsibilities

• Carry out general caretaking duties including maintenance and repairs (joinery, plumbing, decorating).
• Manage waste and conduct statutory/compliance activities and safety checks.
• Act as Key Holder for opening/closing the school and respond to emergencies.
