Your New Company

This logistics company provides logistics services including road and rail transport, warehousing, and terminal management across Scotland and has been established for a number of years and works with some very prestigious clients in the industry. The Company provides integrated third-party logistics solutions including bonded and non-bonded warehousing and supply chain management to a number of blue-chip customers across Scotland and England.

Your new role

This is a vital role where you will take full responsibility for the day-to-day operation at one of the company's most prestigious sites. The main purpose of the role is to efficiently and effectively organise and manage all operations, including the development of human and other resources in conjunction with internal colleagues and customer personnel. This is a demanding role, adapting to devoting priorities and conditions as they arise. As well as a sound understanding of the effective and efficient logistics operations of the job holder, they will demonstrate the communication skills necessary to put knowledge into practice through others, with the qualities necessary to lead and develop a high-performing team across a multitude of functions. The site lead will be resourceful, resilient and passionate about providing a first class service to the customer.

What You'll Need To Succeed

The ideal candidate will have warehouse operations, have used management information to inform decision-making, demonstrate effective organisational abilities and have a keen eye for detail, accuracy and clear communication skills.

What You'll Get In Return

This is Monday-Thursday 0600-1600 and Friday 0600-1200 with a level of flexibility to travel to other sites for meetings. The salary depends on experience plus a company car and this is an excellent opportunity to join a very successful and well-known business.
