Job summary

Amey Ltd is recruiting a General Labourer for the Woodside Viaduct project in Glasgow. The role is on a fixed term contract with a 6-month minimum duration, based on a 42-hour week, Monday to Friday dayshift. You will support daily site operations, maintain cleanliness, and help ensure safe, organized work areas.

Ideal candidates will hold a CSCS card, have labouring experience, and demonstrate good physical fitness, reliability, and teamwork. Driving licence and additional tickets are a plus.

Qualifications

• Valid CSCS Card demonstrating competence on site.
• Previous labouring experience on construction sites.
• Good level of physical fitness for manual tasks.
• Strong work ethic and reliability.
• Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team.
• Basic knowledge of health and safety on site.

Responsibilities

• Loading and unloading materials and deliveries.
• Keeping the site clean and tidy (waste removal, sweeping, etc.).
• Seasonal maintenance.
• Preparing and setting up work areas.
• Moving materials and equipment around the site.
• Following instructions from the Site Manager or Supervisor.
• Adhering to health and safety regulations on site.
• Operating basic tools and equipment where required.
