Job summary

Syensqo in Wrexham, United Kingdom, seeks a Health, Safety & Environment leader to define and deliver the site safety strategy. You will coach the team, manage risks, investigate incidents and drive governance and KPI reporting. The role requires NEBOSH qualification, UK HS knowledge, and strong leadership with hands-on site presence.

The position offers a competitive base salary and at least 16 weeks of parental leave, with access to training and wellbeing programs.

Qualifications

• NEBOSH qualified, ideally Diploma (Level 6)
• Proven H&S leadership experience in manufacturing
• Ability to lead a small team and influence senior stakeholders
• Strong working knowledge of UK H&S law and site application
• Hands-on, field presence with balance of strategic and day-to-day responsibilities
• Clear communicator able to challenge constructively and drive standards

Responsibilities

• Define and deliver the site Health & Safety strategy, objectives and improvement plan.
• Provide visible leadership to strengthen safety culture and standards across the site.
• Ensure effective risk management through risk assessments, safe systems of work and contractor controls.
• Lead incident reporting and investigations with embedded learning.
• Maintain compliance through inspections, audits, governance routines and KPI reporting.
• Lead emergency preparedness and response arrangements (readiness and drills).
• Site Environmental reporting and improvement initiatives.
• Site security: accountable for site security and access control oversight.
