Job summary

Yolk Recruitment is working with a leading international food manufacturing business to appoint an experienced HR Advisor to join the Merthyr Tydfil site. You will provide expert HR guidance across the employee lifecycle in a fast-paced production environment.

You will collaborate with the HR Manager and stakeholders to support day-to-day HR activities, drive continuous improvement, and ensure compliance with employment law and company policies.

Qualifications

• CIPD qualification or working towards CIPD.
• Experience as HR Advisor or in a similar HR role.
• Proactive and operational HR approach.
• Strong knowledge of employee relations and HR processes.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
• Excellent attention to detail and proofreading.
• Understanding of HR compliance and best practice.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
• Resilience and a positive, can-do attitude in change.
• Strong organisational skills and ability to manage workload.
• Strong teamwork mindset.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day HR advice across the employee lifecycle.
• Support managers with employee relations issues, including disciplinary and grievance processes.
• Manage absence and performance management.
• Support employee consultations, including redundancies and changes to terms and conditions.
• Work with the HR Manager to deliver the site HR strategy.
• Support HR projects and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Provide confidential HR guidance to employees and managers at all levels.
• Contribute to site and group HR projects and change initiatives.
