Job summary

Yolk Recruitment is delighted to be partnering with a leading international food manufacturer to appoint an HR Advisor for their site in Merthyr Tydfil. This busy, production-focused environment offers exposure to a full employee lifecycle, with the HR Advisor working closely with the HR Manager and site stakeholders.

You will provide expert HR guidance, support improvement projects and help shape the HR strategy for the site, while maintaining high standards of confidentiality and compliance.

Qualifications

• CIPD qualification or working towards CIPD qualification.
• Proven experience as HR Advisor or similar role.
• Strong knowledge of employee relations and HR processes.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion.
• Attention to detail and proofreading skills.
• Solid understanding of HR compliance and best practice.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
• Resilient, proactive and positive in a changing environment.
• Strong organisational skills and workload management.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day HR advice across the employee lifecycle.
• Support managers with employee relations matters, including disciplinary and grievance processes.
• Manage and advise on absence and performance management.
• Support employee consultations, including redundancy processes and changes to terms and conditions.
• Work closely with the HR Manager to deliver the site HR strategy.
• Support employee engagement initiatives and continuous improvement projects.
• Provide confidential HR advice to employees and managers at all levels.
• Contribute to site and wider group HR projects and change initiatives.
• Ensure HR processes are delivered in line with company policies and employment legislation.
• Maintain accurate and confidential employee records and HR documentation.
