Job summary

Irwin and Colton is recruiting a Site-Based Health and Safety Manager for a major civil engineering project in the Nottingham area. The role works closely with the SHEQ Director to drive safety standards on site and ensure regulatory compliance.

The successful candidate will lead audits, investigations and safety improvements while engaging site teams to foster a proactive safety culture. A NEBOSH Construction or equivalent qualification is required, with IOSH membership highly desirable.

Qualifications

• Experience in a similar role, ideally in demolition, civil engineering, aggregates or related industries.
• Site-based influence and ability to engage across the business.
• Knowledge of ISO management systems (45001/14001/9001).

Responsibilities

• Work with site teams to ensure documentation is maintained and in place.
• Carry out audits, inspections and reporting to monitor safety standards.
• Lead incident investigations, identify root causes and implement corrective actions.

Education

NEBOSH Construction or equivalent
