Job summary

Ian Williams Ltd. in Berkshire is seeking a Working Foreperson to lead and support a Void Operatives team on-site, ensuring work is completed to a high standard while prioritising safety and customer satisfaction.

You will supervise trades across plumbing, plastering, tiling and carpentry, produce productivity reports, manage timesheets, and ensure properties are ready for handover. Weekly hours are 39 with competitive pay and benefits.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in a relevant trade is required.
• Proven experience leading on-site teams.
• Experience in domestic/social housing or relevant response environment preferred.
• Strong customer service and people skills.
• Full UK driving license required.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach and develop a high performing on-site Operative team, delivering work to a high quality standard.
• Produce and review productivity reports, confirm weekly timesheets, and engage with customers and the client.
• Undertake multi-trade tasks (plumbing, plastering, tiling, carpentry) in domestic settings with problem-solving focus.
• Address common repairs (taps, leaks, drainage, kitchen/bathroom) and ensure timely resolutions.
• Ensure client properties are ready for handover, managing deadlines and timelines.
