Job description

A Major construction contractor is seeking a Foreman / Site Manager to work on a multi-million pound project based in Somerset.

As a Foreman / Site Manager, you will have a build background and be responsible for supervising the works and managing a team of Gangers and direct labour force. You will also supervise and control the works of subcontractors throughout the project duration.

What you'll be doing

• Providing supervision and coordination of the work team
• Allocating daily responsibilities and communicating updates
• Ensuring all safety and quality measures are met throughout the project
• Contributing to the production of Work Package Plans and Risk Assessments
• Offering suggestions and recommendations for Temporary Works solutions
• Identifying potential hazards and proactively implementing actions and controls
• Monitoring the performance of plant operators
• Carrying out Safety & Environment Tours

Who we're looking for

As a Foreman, you will have:

• Proven experience working as a Foreman
• Experience in Construction, New Build, or Fit Out projects
• CSCS/SSTS/SMSTS Gold Card
• Good health & safety knowledge
• Tier 1 experience would be beneficial
