Job summary

Kier in East Riding of Yorkshire is seeking a Works Foreman to oversee on-site operations within the AMP8 framework for Yorkshire Water. The role involves ensuring safe, efficient, and timely delivery of construction activities, coordinating site teams, subcontractors, and senior management, and delivering works to specification, quality standards, and programme requirements.

Qualifications

• You have an HNC in a construction-related subject or Level 6 NVQ Construction Site Management.
• You can demonstrate knowledge and practical application of site construction activities and management of staff, operatives, and subcontractors within regulated sectors.
• You hold a Gold Supervisors or Black Managers Construction Skills Certification Scheme (CSCS) card.
• You have completed Site Manager Safety Training Scheme (SMSTS).
• You enjoy working collaboratively with clients and stakeholders to reach innovative solutions and build effective relationships.
• Transferrable skills are welcomed even if you do not tick every box.

Responsibilities

• Planning, coordinating, and overseeing site works to ensure safe, timely, and cost-efficient delivery in line with project specifications and programmes.
• Providing health and safety leadership to operational delivery teams and ensuring compliance with all safety requirements.
• Managing General Foreman, Foreman, Site Supervisors, and other resources to achieve project goals.
• Maintaining effective relationships with clients and stakeholders to protect and enhance the company's reputation.
• Controlling short and medium-term programmes and ensuring timely ordering and delivery of plant and equipment.
