Job summary

Kier Group plc. is seeking a Works Foreman to lead on-site construction activities for the AMP8 framework with Yorkshire Water. You will coordinate site teams, subcontractors, and management to deliver works to specification, quality, and programme requirements.

You will oversee health and safety leadership, manage resources, and maintain strong client relationships while driving safe, efficient delivery of projects. This role focuses on ownership, collaboration and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Requires HNC in construction-related subject or Level 6 NVQ Construction Site Management.
• Demonstrated knowledge of site construction activities and staff/subcontractor management.
• CSCS card and valid SMSTS certification are essential.

Job description

Working on the AMP8 framework for Yorkshire Water, you'll oversee on-site operations and ensure the safe, efficient, and timely delivery of construction activities. You'll be the key link between site teams, subcontractors, and senior management, ensuring that works are delivered to specification, quality standards, and programme requirements. This is a fantastic opportunity to take ownership of meaningful projects while working collaboratively with talented teams across the business. What will you be responsible for? As a Works Foreman, you'll be working within the Yorkshire Water team, supporting them in delivering high-quality construction projects safely and efficiently. Your day to day will include:

• Planning, coordinating, and overseeing site works to ensure safe, timely, and cost-efficient delivery in line with project specifications and programmes
• Providing health and safety leadership to operational delivery teams and ensuring compliance with all safety requirements
• Managing General Foreman, Foreman, Site Supervisors, and other resources to achieve project goals
• Maintaining effective relationships with clients and stakeholders to protect and enhance the company's reputation
• Controlling short and medium-term programmes and ensuring timely ordering and delivery of plant and equipment
• You enjoy working collaboratively with clients and stakeholders to reach innovative solutions and build effective relationships

• You have an HNC in a construction-related subject or Level 6 NVQ Construction Site Management
• You can demonstrate knowledge and practical application of site construction activities and management of staff, operatives, and subcontractors within regulated sectors
• You hold a Gold Supervisors or Black Managers Construction Skills Certification Scheme (CSCS) card
• You have completed Site Manager Safety Training Scheme (SMSTS)
