Job summary

Organon is seeking a Site Facilities Management Lead for our manufacturing site in Cramlington, Northumberland. You will lead the Facilities Management organisation, including utilities management and the Engineering Centre of Excellence, and own the site's IFM partnership.

This is a key site role in the Engineering leadership team, focused on reducing downtime, advancing energy strategy, regulatory compliance, safety culture, and continuous improvement across FM assets.

Qualifications

• Degree level engineering qualification or similar relevant experience.
• Familiar with sustainability, maintenance and facilities engineering strategies.
• Competent financial management skills to create and manage expense budgets.
• Highly developed people management and leadership skills.
• Excellent communication skills both vertically and horizontally with the organisation.
• Ability to influence third-party suppliers.

Responsibilities

• Facilities Management Oversight: monitor FM KPIs and reduce downtime through reliability and maintenance strategies.
• Engineering Systems Leadership: develop and maintain site engineering systems ensuring regulatory compliance.
• Sustainability, Energy Strategy and Execution: create and execute the Energy Management strategy to reduce energy use.
• Safety and Environmental Management: ensure operations meet safety and environmental standards with audits.
• Compliance and Quality Assurance: ensure GMP training and quality system actions are completed on time.
• Contract Management: manage FM contract and vendor performance in collaboration with Procurement.
• Budget Management: oversee Building Maintenance budget and asset lifecycle across FM.
• Continuous Improvement Initiatives: identify and implement opportunities to improve efficiency.
• Structured Problem Solving: use reliability analysis to increase equipment uptime.
• Team Development and Support: coach and mentor team members.

Organon is hiring for a Site Facilities Management Lead to join our world class manufacturing site in Cramlington, Northumberland.

In this role, you will lead the Facilities Management organisation, including utilities management, the Engineering Centre of Excellence (including but not limited to maintenance systems, electrical systems, compliance ownership, reliability engineering and drawing office), and own the site's IFM partnership. This is a key site role and will be part of the Engineering leadership team.

Role Responsibilities

• Facilities Management Oversight: Accountable for monitoring facilities management key performance indicators, with a focus on consistently reducing operational downtime related to FM assets. This includes governing performance metrics and implementing reliaibility & maintenance strategies for improvement.
• Engineering Systems Leadership: Lead the development and maintenance of various site engineering systems, ensuring they meet all company, site, and regulatory compliance standards. This involves regular assessments and audits to maintain regulatory alignment.
• Sustainability, Energy Strategy and Execution: Responsible for creating and executing the Energy Management strategy, focusing on sustainability and cost-effectiveness in daily operations to reduce energy consumption and environmental impact.
• Safety and Environmental Management: Ensure all facilities operations align with safety regulations and environmental standards. Conduct regular safety audits and implement sustainable practices and strong safety culture.
• Compliance and Quality Assurance: Ensure that FM team has strong compliance governance and performance; both personal and team GMP training requirements are completed on time, deviations are minimised and proactively avoided, and Quality system actions are completed on time. The role also includes Quality system owenrship responsibilities.
• Contract Management: Manage and develop the site Facilities Management contract to optimize service delivery and ensure alignment with site goals and standards. This includes overseeing vendor performance and collaboration with Procurement team.
• Budget Management: Oversee the Building Maintenance budget, ensuring cost-effective resource allocation and expenditure control. This involves overseeing the lifecycle management of FM assets, including acquisition, maintenance, and disposal, to optimize asset utilization and value as well as regular budget reviews and alignment with organizational financial objectives.
• Continuous Improvement Initiatives: Develop Engineering portfolio of continuous improvement opportunities, managing relevant projects to enhance operational efficiency and effectiveness. This involves understanding technology capability & development and identifying areas for improvement and implementing innovative solutions.
• Structured Problem Solving: Enable structured problem-solving processes around reliability metrics & analysis to identify issues swiftly and increase equipment uptime, thereby enhancing manufacturing productivity and reducing operational disruptions.
• Team Development and Support: Actively provide developmental support and coaching to team members to enhance skills and promote continuous professional growth. This includes facilitating training sessions and mentorship opportunities.
