Job summary

Shireland Collegiate Academy Trust is seeking a Site Assistant to maintain, tidy and secure the school premises across Shireland Biomedical UTC and Shireland CBSO Academy.

The role includes opening and closing the academies, setting up tables and chairs for mock and public examinations, switching alarms on and off, and assisting with general site tasks and events.

This position is 37 hours per week, 52 weeks per year, with DBS checks and safeguarding commitments expected.

Qualifications

• Experience in building maintenance or site management.
• Ability to follow health and safety procedures.
• Willingness to work across two school sites.

Responsibilities

• Open and close the Academy as required.
• Set up and pack away tables/chairs for mock and public examinations.
• Switch alarms on/off as and when required.
• Assist with general site activities/tasks e.g. painting, repairs, maintenance.
• Set up equipment/resources for shows, events in our Sport Hall.
• Follow H+S procedures to ensure site safety e.g. inclement weather.
• Ensure site cleanliness e.g. empty bins, cleaning spillages etc.
• Undergo any further training where necessary e.g. fire safety, manual handling.
