Job summary

Advance TRS is seeking a Site Engineer - Structures to join our Coventry-based team. You will oversee site engineering controls and implement works, monitor progress, and report on site performance.

Key activities include setting out, surveying, coordinating subcontractors, managing document control, and ensuring compliance with method statements, risk assessments, and client requirements.

Qualifications

• Degree in civil engineering or equivalent.
• Previous site engineering experience.
• Large scale civils infrastructure project experience.
• Experience in structural RC works preferred, drainage/highways/earthworks also considered.
• Experience in possession works (Network Rail).
• Holds a current driving license and CSCS Card.
• Setting out techniques using level & EDM and GPS.
• Reads and understands drawings and schedules.
• Able to produce detailed documentation for handover of completed works.
• Able to take off and schedule material quantities accurately.
• Knowledge of specification and contract documents.

Responsibilities

• Ensure all permits are applied for and in place, ready for site work to begin.
• Ensure the Inspection and Test Plans, and Quality Check Sheets are completed as soon as the checks can be completed.
• Setting out and surveying.
• Management of subcontractors.
• Make effective use of document control to manage distribution of information.
• Develop and Approve relevant procedures specific to the area of works.
• Approve method statements and risk assessments and ensure they are being followed throughout the works.
• Regularly liaising with the client.
• Ensure Design Drawings are marked up to reflect works completed as the works are finished.
• Liaise with other Sections to ensure any clashes on site are managed to ensure a smooth flow of work.
• Regularly review procedures to ensure they are as efficient as possible.

Role Purpose
