Job summary

Alexander James Recruiting Ltd. is seeking an experienced Site Engineer to maintain a fleet of forklift trucks on a customer site in Coleshill. The role operates on a rotating early and late shift pattern with a competitive basic salary and additional benefits.

You will service forklift trucks and related equipment, working either on your own or as part of a team, while ensuring high standards of customer service and strict adherence to health and safety requirements.

Qualifications

• Forklift experience preferred but not essential.
• Experience in related industries such as plant equipment, automotive or similar considered.

Responsibilities

• Servicing a fleet of Material Handling equipment on a customer site in Coleshill, focusing on forklift trucks.
• Fixing and servicing other related equipment as required.
• Ensure excellent customer service and represent the company appropriately on site.
• Adhere to health & safety policies of both company and customer.
• Report back to team leaders and service manager in the region.
• Work on rotating early and late day shifts.

Alexander James Recruiting are currently working with a leading manufacturer of Material Handling equipment looking to on board a new Site Engineer to maintain a fleet of trucks on a customer site in Coleshill on a rotating shift pattern. Responsibilities

• Servicing a fleet of Material Handling equipment on a customer site in Coleshill focusing on forklift trucks
• Fixing and servicing other, related & specialist equipment as and when required
• Ensuring excellent customer service and representing the company in the right way on customer site
• Adhering to both the company’s and customer’s health & safety policies whilst working on site
• Reporting back to the team leaders and service manager in the region
• Working on rotating early and late day shifts

Requirements

The company have a preference for an individual from a forklift truck background due to the requirements of the role, however this is not essential. They will also consider candidates with a background working within a closely related industry such as plant equipment, automotive, commercial vehicles or similar. You will be able to work well as part of a team as well as working on your own initiative. In terms of location, you will need to be based within commutable distance of Newport. It is essential that you are ready to work both rotating day shifts.
