Alexander James Recruiting are currently working with a leading manufacturer of Material Handling equipment to onboard a Field Service Engineer who will service their client base across Reading, Guildford and the surrounding areas. Qualifications

• Material Handling experience preferred, not essential.
• Background in plant hire, powered access, commercial vehicles or Automotive considered.
• Recently qualified engineer welcomed for long-term career.

Responsibilities

• Servicing a client base across Reading and Guildford, focusing on forklift trucks.
• Fixing and servicing other material handling equipment, including side-loaders and industrial cleaning gear.
• Maintain excellent customer service and represent the company at client sites.
• Occasionally attend the workshop and work on call.
• Collaborate with team leaders and service managers to ensure efficient service.

Responsibilities

• Servicing a client base across Reading & Guildford with a focus on servicing forklift trucks
• Fixing and servicing other, related material handling & specialist equipment to include side-loaders and industrial cleaning equipment
• Ensuring excellent customer service and representing the company in the right way when visiting customer sites
• Attending the workshop from time to time and occasionally working on call
• Working closely with the team leaders and service managers within the region to ensure service is carried out efficiently

Requirements

The company have a preference for an individual with experience within the Material Handling industry. However this isn’t essential, they would also be interested in speaking with candidates with a background in plant hire, powered access, commercial vehicles or Automotive. Another option the company would consider would be a recently qualified engineer looking to get into something long term and building a career. In terms of location, you will ideally be based in Reading, Guildford or the surrounding areas.
