Job summary

Alexander James Recruiting are working with a leading manufacturer of Material Handling equipment to recruit a Field Service Engineer to service their client base across Tonbridge, Maidstone and surrounding areas.

You will service forklift trucks and related equipment, attend on-site visits, and work with the regional service managers to keep downtime to a minimum. A competitive salary and benefits are on offer.

Qualifications

• Preference for experience in Material Handling industry
• Possible background in plant hire, powered access, commercial vehicles or Automotive
• Open to recently qualified engineers seeking a long-term career

• Ensure excellent customer service and represent the company at customer sites

Alexander James Recruiting are currently working with a leading manufacturer of Material Handling equipment looking to on-board a new Field Service Engineer to service their client base across Tonbridge, Maidstone and the surrounding areas. With a competitive basic salary and a number of other benefits, this is a great opportunity for an experienced engineer looking to get into a new company.

Responsibilities

• Servicing a client base across Tonbridge & Maidstone with a focus on servicing forklift trucks
• Fixing and servicing other, related material handling & specialist equipment to include side-loaders and industrial cleaning equipment
• Ensuring excellent customer service and representing the company in the right way when visiting customer sites
• Attending the workshop from time to time and occasionally working on call
• Working closely with the team leaders and service managers within the region to ensure service is carried out efficiently

Requirements

The company have a preference for an individual with experience within the Material Handling industry. However this isn’t essential, they would also be interested in speaking with candidates with a background in plant hire, powered access, commercial vehicles or Automotive. Another option the company would consider would be a recently qualified engineer looking to get into something long term and building a career. In terms of location, you will ideally be based in Tonbridge or Maidstone.
