Job summary

Alexander James Recruiting is assisting a leading manufacturer of material handling equipment in recruiting a Field Service Engineer to service clients across Walsall, Wolverhampton and surrounding areas.

The role focuses on servicing forklift trucks and related material handling equipment, with a company van provided. You will travel to customer sites, deliver excellent service, and occasionally work from the workshop or on call, supported by regional team leaders.

Qualifications

• Experience in material handling preferred; other related fields considered.
• Location preference Wolverhampton or Walsall.
• Field service capability with customer-facing visits.

Responsibilities

• Servicing client base across Walsall & Wolverhampton with focus on forklift trucks.
• Fixing and servicing related material handling equipment including side-loaders and industrial cleaning equipment.
• Ensure excellent customer service when visiting customer sites.
• Occasionally attend the workshop and work on call.
• Collaborate with team leaders and service managers to ensure efficient service.

Alexander James Recruiting are currently working with a leading manufacturer of Material Handling equipment looking to on-board a new Field Service Engineer to service their client base across Walsall/Wolverhampton and the surrounding areas. With a competitive basic salary and a number of other benefits, this is a great opportunity for an experienced engineer looking to get into a new company.

Responsibilities

• Servicing a client base across Walsall & Wolverhampton with a focus on servicing forklift trucks
• Fixing and servicing other, related material handling & specialist equipment to include side-loaders and industrial cleaning equipment
• Ensuring excellent customer service and representing the company in the right way when visiting customer sites
• Attending the workshop from time to time and occasionally working on call
• Working closely with the team leaders and service managers within the region to ensure service is carried out efficiently

Requirements

The company have a preference for an individual with experience within the Material Handling industry. However this isn’t essential, they would also be interested in speaking with candidates with a background in plant hire, powered access, commercial vehicles or Automotive. Another option the company would consider would be a recently qualified engineer looking to get into something long term and building a career. In terms of location, you will ideally be based in Wolverhampton or Walsall.
