Job summary

Fawkes & Reece London is recruiting a Freelance Site Engineer – Setting Out for Sizewell C in Suffolk, on a long-term contract within the nuclear sector.

You will lead setting-out using Total Station and GPS/GNSS, check levels and dimensions, and support the site team with accurate records and documentation.

UK nuclear security clearance is essential; previous nuclear project experience is advantageous.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Site Engineer on major construction projects.
• Strong setting-out experience essential.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
• Existing UK nuclear security clearance is essential.

Responsibilities

• Setting out works accurately using Total Station, GPS/GNSS and other surveying equipment.
• Providing day-to-day engineering support to the Site Manager and construction teams.
• Checking levels, coordinates, alignments and dimensions.
• Interpreting construction drawings, specifications and technical information.
• Undertaking as-built surveys and maintaining accurate records.
• Establishing and maintaining site control points and benchmarks.
• Carrying out quality checks and identifying any engineering issues or discrepancies.
• Maintaining accurate site records and reporting progress.
