Job summary

BYLOR Joint Venture is seeking a Setting Out Engineer for on-site duties at Hinkley Point C in Somerset. You will support the engineering team using site plans, technology and precision instruments to pinpoint structural features above and below ground during nuclear construction activities.

Applicants should have engineering or surveying qualifications and about 2 years of relevant experience in surveying, setting out, and reinforced concrete, along with strong numeracy and data interpretation

Qualifications

• Must hold an Engineering or Survey qualification - ideally degree level.
• 2 years experience in a similar role.
• Knowledge of surveying procedures and use of survey equipment (EDM/Total Station).

Responsibilities

• Setting out, levelling and surveying on site.
• Liaising between engineers and the construction team to ensure plans are accurately set out on site.
• Supply reinforced concrete setting out support to construction team.
• Report site progress to engineering and survey department.
