Job summary

Empower Advisory UK, part of the BMD Group, is seeking a Consultant Site Engineer based in Plymouth. This full-time, site-based role supports the Engineering team to ensure technical compliance with design specs, delivering the project safely, on time and to the required quality.

Daily tasks include coordinating subcontractors, reporting to stakeholders, providing engineering support, setting out works within tolerances, preparing as-built drawings, and maintaining safety and quality records.

Qualifications

• Degree level/HNC/HND in Civil Engineering or equivalent experience.
• Site experience including setting out and reinforced concrete.
• Technical knowledge of construction techniques and best practices.
• IT skills including MS Office.
• BPSS level security clearance required; EU/NATO/5 Eyes/MISWG passports eligible.

Responsibilities

• Regular communication and reporting to multiple stakeholders to ensure seamless project execution, including coordination of subcontractors.
• Provide engineering support to overcome technical problems and answer queries.
• Set out works within allowable tolerances.
• Assist in preparing as-built drawings and recording/testing workmanship and materials.
• Maintain safety and quality documentation and registers.
