Job summary

Kenton Black Limited is seeking an experienced Site Engineer to support major civil engineering and infrastructure schemes across the UK. You will set out works, survey to drawings, and provide technical support to site teams while coordinating with management and subcontractors.

The role requires interpreting drawings, using GPS and total stations, and ensuring QA and health, safety compliance. Long-term opportunities with a reputable engineering business across UK sites.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a Site Engineer role within civil engineering or major infrastructure projects.
• Competent in setting out and surveying techniques.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings and engineering specifications.
• Experience using surveying equipment, including GPS and total stations.
• Strong communication, organisational and problem-solving skills.
• A proactive approach to health, safety and quality.

Responsibilities

• Setting out and surveying works in accordance with approved drawings and specifications.
• Ensuring accurate line, level and positioning of civil engineering works.
• Interpreting engineering drawings and providing technical support to site teams.
• Carrying out site surveys, measurements and as-built surveys.
• Coordinating with site management, subcontractors and engineering teams.
• Monitoring quality and ensuring works comply with project specifications and standards.
• Maintaining accurate site records, QA documentation and inspection records.
• Identifying and resolving technical issues on site.
• Ensuring compliance with health, safety and environmental requirements.
• Flexibility to work across UK-based project sites.
