Job summary

Randstad CPE is seeking an experienced Site Engineer (Highways & Infrastructure) for a long-term contract in Norfolk. You will support ECI and detailed design, manage on-site survey works, GI, and setting out using GPS.

Responsibilities include supervision of on-site works, coordinating sub-contractors, issuing permits, safety checks, and maintaining RAMS and ITPs with digital tools. Night shifts may be required.

Qualifications

• Experience as Site Engineer on UK civil/ highways projects.
• Expert in setting out (GPS) and service location (CAT & Genny).
• GI/topo surveys and sub-contractor supervision.
• Valid CSCS Card, SSSTS/SMSTS, First Aid at Work.

Responsibilities

• Site Surveying & Setting Out: Set out and survey points/locations using GPS; manage GI/topography/draingage surveys.
• Front-Line Supervision: Oversee on-site works, teams, and sub-contractor activities.
• Safety & Permits: Issue Permits to Dig, perform safety checks, RAMS reviews.
• Quality & Records: Maintain ITPs, track non-conformances, daily diaries.
• Landowner & Traffic Interface: Conduct surveys, oversee traffic management including night shifts.
