Bachy Soletanche in Leiston, UK, seeks a proactive Site Engineer to plan and manage day-to-day ground engineering works for the Sizewell C project. The role requires strong technical capability, disciplined record-keeping and close coordination with operations, safety, quality, commercial and procurement teams in an NEC4 Alliance environment.

Formación

• Degree (or equivalent) in Civil or Geotechnical Engineering.
• CSCS and SSSTS or SMSTS qualifications.
• Solid experience in ground-engineering works (e.g. diaphragm walling, soil mixing).
• Strong ability to read/apply drawings and specifications with disciplined records.
• Experience with look-ahead planning, float management, Early Warnings and NCEs within an NEC4 Alliance environment.
• Excellent IT skills including advanced Excel/Word, MS Project or P6, AutoCAD and CEMAR.
• Ownership mindset, clear communication, resilience and collaboration.

Responsabilidades

• Coordinate labour, plant and materials; ensure works align with drawings, specs, ITPs, RAMS and permits; maintain site/technical records.
• Lead daily safety briefings and toolbox talks; conduct Level 1 incident investigations; ensure permits compliance; promote safe systems of work.
• Prepare and implement ITPs; coordinate testing and witness points; manage NCRs; maintain red-line drawings and QA handover docs.
• Maintain 2–6 week look‑ahead programmes; track progress against targets; manage float and sequencing; identify constraints and support delay analysis and recovery actions.
• Support procurement activities including specifications, orders and subcontract administration; raise Early Warnings and NCEs; input to CEs and cost control; apply NEC4 Alliance procedures.
• Supervise small teams and apprentices; provide feedback; support people management conversations; work with multidisciplinary teams.
