Job summary
Balfour Beatty Ground Engineering in Leiston, Suffolk, invites a Senior Contracts Engineer to join the Sizewell C groundworks team. You’ll drive commercial delivery, manage contract documentation, and coordinate with estimating, design, procurement and site operations to maximise value.
You will lead contract change control, monitor performance, ensure compliance with the Business Management System, and develop strong customer relationships while prioritising safety and Zero Harm across the
Qualifications
- Recognised professional qualification in engineering (MICE/MIStructE) or working towards it.
- Valid CSCS card required or in process (as applicable).
- Strong ability to manage teams and coach others.
Responsibilities
- Ensure clear deliverables through handover with process teams and KPI monitoring.
- Prepare and collate contract documents and obtain approvals before mobilisation.
- Prepare site documentation and communicate deliverables to site supervisor; attend site as needed.
- Maintain comprehensive site records; review weekly for compliance.
- Lead or support final account settlements with commercial teams.
- Monitor project performance daily; close out actions/risks to maximise margins.
